Friday morning the 5 and 6 year old children drove down to the Kimberly Clark beach for a marshmallow roast. While there, the kids mana- ged to get in a little fishing and made a beau- tiful haul - the fish being the "no-mess, easy- to-clean" variety, complete with candy centres. Jamie Pollard managed to catch the bid daddy of them all, which he graciously shared with the other kids. That afternoon, the 7 - 9 year old kids and leaders, complete with St. Bernard dog, loaded into the bus and headed out to White Sand Lake for a swim and picnic lunch. Although it's debatable whether more eating was done than swi- mming, everyone had a good time doing both. Friday evening, the I0 - I2 year old kids walked down to the Pump House Beach to cook sup- per. A lot of hot dogs were blackened and en- joyed and there were quite a number of seagulls This Thursday, July 25th, we are planning a special Play Day in conjunction with the SchPfeiber playground. This event will be for children 5 to 9 years of age and will take 'place. in Schreiber from I:30 until 3:30 p.m. We have rented a bus to take the leaders and kids to Schreiber and back, and it will be" leaving Terrace Bay Public School at I:00 p.m. A lot of work has gone into this event by the two playground staffs and we know it should be a lot of fun. All kids 5 to 9 years of age are invited to come out and enjoy them- selves. In case of rain, the Play Day will be held Friday instead. i CROSSWORD PUZZLE who could hardly wait until we had left.
