Hale attended the July I6th meeting of Township Council which opened with the adoption of the June 25th meeting minutes. Under correspondence, the statement of account from the Township Lawyers was read. A certificate of approval was received from the Ministry of Environment re the water meter at the Pump House. A letter from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism re the visit of the Hon. Claude Bennett on Friday, August I6th at 3:30 p.m. was read and Reeve Bray informed Council this informa- tion had been passed on to the local Chamber of Commerce. A request from the Nipigon Legion to sell tickets for their Fall Fishing Festival was approved. A letter from the Municipality of Peel re- questing Councils approval of a resolution re Powers and Duties of Crossing Guards was read. Terrace Bay Council will endorse the action of the AMO. A letter from the Hon. Rene Brunelle re Day Care Centres will be filed until further information can be obtained. A letter from Kimberly-Clark of Canada Ltd. turned over all financial responsibility of the Recreation Centre to the town and they will discuss the ownership of the Centre with the Council holding office January I, I977. A letter from K.Y. Diu withdrew his appli- cation as dentist. A donation was granted the Horticultural Society for their rannual show. The June Building Report was read. Under new business the following accounts continued page 2 G. PUTTOCK ELECTED PRESIDENT * The Board of Directors of Kimberly-Clark of Canada Limited today elected Mr. Grant L. Puttock President of the Company. He will continue to serve as General Manager of the Company's Pulp and Forest Products Division. Mr. Puttock has been Vice President and General Manager of the Pulp and Forest Pro- ducts Division. : Mr. Alan F. Haycraft, who had been Chair- man of the Board and President of Kimberl|y- Clark of Canada Limited, will be Chairman of the Board and General Manager, Consumer and Service Products Division. Mr. Puttock and Mr. D.R. Cameron of the Toronto law firm Lash, Johnston, Sheard and Pringle, were elected members of the Board of Directors of the Company. Kimberly-Clark operates manufacturing and converting plants at St. John, New Brunswick; Huntsville, Kapuskasing, Niagara Falls, Rex- dale, St. Catharines, Ontario; St. Hyacinthe, Quebec; Winnipeg, Manitoba; a pulp mill at Terrace Bay, Woodlands and sawmill operations at Longlac, and sales offices across Canada.
