MAY 22, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 15 SCHREIBER COUNCIL QUOTES The Municipal Council, at their May I3th meeting, expressed gratification that, follow- ing a special meeting earlier in the month, their offer of $10,000 to Crown Assets, has been accepted - only legal formalities to be completed, for the purchase of the former post office, which they intend using as a medical centre, this facility also being inh the centre of the town. The contract for necessary renovations has been given to M. Cebrario and Sons, local con- tractors, with the injunction to start the work as soon as possible. A group of ratepayers attended the meeting to inquire into regulations concerning the placing of mobile homes. Two of these request- ed permission to re-locate, since they have been asked to move their units from their pres- ent location. Council will study the problem and notify those concerned of their decision. : At a later point in the meeting council dis- cussed the possibility of the town establish- ing a trailer court. - McCausland Hospital Board, acknowledged gra- tefully a donation of $725.00 toward the hos- pital share of capital renovations.
