The Lakeview choir, directed by Mrs. Wilma Ayre, travelled to Terrace Bay on Friday evening and were billeted in various homes of choir members in Terrace Bay. There was free time for hikes and picnics on Saturday afternoon, and the two choirs gathered in the hall to present an evening of music at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Margaret McKague directed the Joy and 'Hosanna singers, and she and Mrs. Ayre at times directed both choirs. : Special guests were residents of Birchwood Terrace and members of the Chimo club of Schreiber and Terrace Bay. Those in the audience were invited to join in the singing. Among the numbers sang by the choirs were "Morning Has Broken, Hey, Hey, Anybody Listen- ing?, the Twenty-Third Psalm," to two differ- ent tunes, one "The Happy Wandered," and the other "Amazing Grace". The ever lovely i "Feed My Lambs" was reverently and beautifully sung. Mrs. Ayre and Mrs. McKague accompanied the choirs on their autoharps, as well as. on the piano. The newest version of "The Lord's Prayer", sung in a very contemporary fashion, by the Lakeview singers, was a great hit. Cookies and kool-aid, tea and coffee, were: served to everyone, convened by Mrs. Helen Brooks. ; Sunday morning, the two choirs presented two anthems, "A Carol for Joy", by Judy Hunni- 1 cutt and "Jubilate Deo" by Dale Wood. 1 ve Photos page 8B. ..civuuss SHOWER HONOURS: BRIDE-ELECT A Miscellaneous-Bridal shower was held Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Kay Weppler in honour of bride-elect Miss Margaret Jean Wallwin whose wedding takes place on Saturday, May I8th in Terrace Bay.
