MAY I5, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 C.W.L. NOMINATE EXECUTIVE The regular meeting of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Women's League was held on April 2I, in the Parish Hall and was presided by Mrs. G. Ramsay. The Rosary was recited for the succ- ess of the Diocesan Convention, prior to the meeting. Mrs. Malashewski read a passage from the Jerusalem Bible entitled "Faith and Good Works" Mrs. Gerlach gave the treasurer's report. Mrs. Robitaille has ordered the first Commun- ion gifts. Peggy Regis read a poem entitled "Beyond Descriptive Words". She reported that forty boxes of used clothing had been sent to Red Lake Missions. The Rosary will be prayed every day in May at I:30 p.m. A list of religious movies avail- able from. the Canadian Mass Media Mission was received by Mrs. Belliveau. Mrs. Helmink thanked the ladies who helped at funerals. Comments were invited regarding a Day Care Centre in this community. The ladies were thanked by the president on the success of the Boy Scout Supper as well as the Arts & Crafts Display, sponsored by the C.W.L. at the carnival. Mrs. Falzetta and Sister Paulette catered to a luncheon for the Schreiber-Terrace Bay District R.C. School Board. A motion was made for the C.W.L. to pay registration and banquet tickets for a car- load of ladies who wish to attend the Dioces- an Convention. The meeting was adjourned by Mrs. Regis. The annual meeting followed. All conven- ers gave their yearly reports. Mrs. Ramsay then declared all seats vacant and turned the meeting over to Sheila Dakin, acting chairman of the nomination committee. She then introduced the new executive and said the date for installation of officers would be announced at a later date. A motion was made to sent two delegates to the Thunder Bay Convention. The meeting was adjourned by S. Dakin. Father Greengrass gave his blessing and led with the League closing prayers. in honour of bride-elect Lynn Simmer wil) be held in the Community Church on Thuréday, May Iéth at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
