Some ground work was established and the second meeting has not yet been decided upon. All those who attended the first meeting will be notified of the time and date of the second planning meeting. LAST JUNIOR BADMINTON SESSION THIS SATURDAY: The last practise session for the players who will be representing Terrace Bay in the North Shore Junior Badminton tournament will be held this Saturday, April 27th, in the High School auditorium. Tuesday, April 30th - Amateur Wine Making Course session #2. HOSPITAL BOARD MEETING The McCausland Hospital Board held a regular meeting on April I6, I974 in the Terrace Bay Municipal Office. Frank An- derson reviewed the Special Meeting on April 9th with Dr. Baldwin for the bene- fit of Board members unable to attend. It was decided that a copy of the Report for a New Health Facility should be = to Jack Stokes and Keith Penner in o to keep them informed of program to da: Don Beno gave a year-end report on t activities of the Finance Committee. Correspondence was received from the Tuin ~ship of Terrace Bay advising the Boaz that an agreement has been reached be- tween the communities of Schreiber and Terrace Bay relative to a method of rais- ing funds for capital assistance to the hospital. A cheque for $2,173.50 as their share towards the heating system renovations was also received. Bill Kirkpatrick reported a corrected total of II99 hospital memberships for I974 with a total of $1202. collected. He thanked all the members of the Public Rela- tions Committee and especially the volunteer canvassers for the very successful membership drive. Accounts for March, I974, in the total am- ount of $23,927.65 were passed for payment. Under current business, Rena McAdam thanked the retiring members, Frank Anderson, Don Beno, and Bill Kirkpatrick for their dedicated ser- vice to the Board and for their excellent work as chairmen of the three standing committees. Vic Mazzone reported that the hospital has received telephone approval of the I974 Budget in the amount of $277,020.- Net Operating Costs A complete overhaul of all hospital thermosta- ts has taken place. The hospital will receive a visit from the Joint Hospital Assessment Team sometime in May. The spring meeting of District Hospital Council #I2 is scheduled for May 9 and I0th in Thunder Bay.
