Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose an empire styled long sleeved gown of white cut velvet with pearl button trim (the gown was made by the bride). Her short illus- ion veil was held in place by a Juliette cap of matching material. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink bridal roses.. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Ora Mae Harness, as maid of honour. She wore a long skirt waist style, silk 'crepe gown, in dark green and matching head dress. She carried one large white chrep anthemum. Attending the groom was J.D. (Danny) Mar- tell brother of the groom, as best man, the guests were ushered by Mr. Michael Martell and Mr. Dennis Martell, nephews of the groom. The mother of the bride wore a street length, mauve dress and coat with beaded trim and mauve and brown accessories. Her corsage was of pink roses. The mother of the groom was unable. to attend, due to illness. Following the ceremony a dinner was held in the Church hall, after which, the guests returned to 'the bride's home for a reception. On Saturday March 23rd, a reception and dance was held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch NO. 5 Thunder Bay. For travelling to Jamaica for a two week honeymoon, the bride chose a mint green and white plaid pant suit with brown accessories and a corsage of red feathered carnations. PENNER MEETS WITH CHIMO MEMBERS Keith Penner, M.P. and Reeve H.J. McParland of Schreiber, were welcomed by Mrs. Mary Chadwell at a special gathering of the Chimo Club Senior Citizens. Mr. Penner obviously enjoyed his informal meeting of the members, visiting with them as he moved from one to another of small tea tables at which they were seated. Later, after an introduction by Lester McCuaig, Mr. Penner went on to express his in- terest in the new club, and his admiration of its club house, and that he would like to visit this and other similar clubs oftener, saying, but as you are well-aware, I represent a vast constituency, with 20 communities to visit.
