TO LEGION #223 March 25th Auxiliary meeting was opened with the signing of "0 Canada". 01d business was read and following this one new member, Beverly Legault was initiated into the auxiliary. The financial report was read. Correspon- dence included several thank you cards and a letter from the Cancer Society asking for a donation. This was granted. The White River Auxiliary branch will be having their birthday party on Saturday, April 27th. Anyone wishing to attend please contact J. Mercier. Reports from the various committees were read and J. Megraw reported that the bingo machine and cards are now paid for. . A motion was passed to purchase a new black and white television set for the McCausland Hospital. Madam President Gusul will look after same. The old set will be donated to the high school. J. Gunter resinded her motion for summer recess of June, July and August. All members present were in favour of having July and August for. summer recess. Only bookings for "small luncheons will be accepted during these two months. The Bursary Committee for the Public and Separate Schools will include Sec. J. Mercier, Pam Jones and Sheila Dakin. The Ladies Auxiliary had several requests for charms, spoons, crests, cuff links, etc. with the Legion insignia. Anyone wishing to order these may do so by calling J. Mercier. J. Megraw reported that the cutlery and garbage containers for the cart have arrived and have proven very handy. The hockey pools have been discontinued un- til the semi-finals. Addie Beaulieu will take over hockey pools from J. Megraw. Madam President, 3. Gusul thanked all con- veners for past functions for a job well done. Madam President also asked for volunteers to wash chairs in the lounge. ; Following adjournment a lovely lunch was served. Coming events: Kinsmen Dinner-April 5th; Con- vener S. He is also lively and inquisitive and has a good sense of humor. This good-looking lad with blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin will » soon be 9. His glasses are to correct a turned-in eye. He is in good health, having outgrown a tendency to bronchitis. Robby is above average in intelligence but has minimal brain damage. This does not affect his learning capacity but does affect his behaviour. making him hyperactive and impulsive. Therefore, Robby needs parents who will appreciate his many excellent qualities and will realize that when-he is very active, he is not trying to misbehave. In Grade 3, Robby is working at an accelerated rate though he is in a special class because he needs extra attention. He likes to : read all kinds of books and is interested in crafts such as : candlemaking and paper mache work. He also enjoys building things. This lad responds well to praise and has great enthusiasm but gets frustrated easily. : Robby loves the outdoors. He likes camping and riding his bike and is keen on active games. both to play and to watch. He is fond of animals. Parents with energy and patience. plus ability to combine firmness with warmth, are being sought for Robby.
