Frank S, Miller, Minister Ministry of Health ® Ontario FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR COSIMO SPEZIALE The funeral of the late Cosimo Speziale, whose death occurred, at the age of 82, on March I2th, I974, was conducted on March I5 in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber by the Rev. F.J.Meyer. Honorary pall bearers were Vincenzo, Girol- amo, Frank and Dominic Figliomeni, Antonio. Trichilo, all brothers-in-law of the deceased and Dominic Diano. The active bearers were Cosimo, Teddy, Don- nie and Joey Speziale, all grandsons, Gary Speck and Cosimo Alfarano. - Interment was in Schreiber cemetery. Mr. Speziale's immediate survivors are his wife, Rosa Figliomeni, six sons, Peter, Jim (Vincenzo), Frank, Joe and Anthony of Schrei- ber and John of Thunder Bay; two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Joe Costa) and Teresa (Mrs. John Trichilo) both of Schreiber, 33 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; also seven sis=- ters. Mr. Speziale came to Schreiber from Italy in I9I0 and from then until his retirement in 1957 was employed with C.P.R. in the Schreiber Shop. But during those years he paid many visits to his homeland, being married there, serving two years I9I6-I9I8 in the Italian Army, I6 long months of this in a prisoner of war camp. He was able in I939 to bring his wife and family to Schreiber, and three of their children were born here. Among the many relations and friends atten- ding the service from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. John Speziale, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Agostini, Joey Agostini, Carmela De Paulo, Sister Gail McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Carmela Commisso continued page I0
