LEBLANC-BELLIVEAU VOWS EXCHANGED Poinsettias on the Altar formed a lovely setting for the pre-Christmas wedding of Joan Margaret Belliveau and Ryan William LeBlanc, which took place on December 22, I973, at 4 pm in St. Martin of Tours Church, Terrace Bay. Rev. A. Greengrass of St. Martin's performed the wedding ceremony, assisted by Rev. D. Greenough of Wesley United Church, Thunder Bay. Mrs. Pat Buck was at the organ, and Mrs. Fern MacDonald, the soloist. Joan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Belliveau of Nackawic, N.B. and Ryan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl LeBlanc, Thunder Bay. Given in marriage by her mother and father, Joan wore a floor length white A line Polyest- er crepe gown, with a ruffled Victorian collar, long slim sleeves, the waist and hem of the gown featuring a tiny white daisy chain. A jewelled Juliet cap held the bouffant veil which fell softly into a train. She carried a white Prayer Book with cascading red roses and white satin ribbons. Ryan was excorted down the aisle by his mother and father. The Matron of Honour was Sharon Lundberg and the Junior Bridesmaid was Eileen Belliveau, both sisters of the bride. Gowned alike in Poinsettia red floor length gowns, their dress- es featured a fitted bodice with A line skirt, and a white collar and white cuffs on the long . sleeves. Their headdress was tiny white rose- ' buds worn in their hair. Mrs. Lundberg and Eileen carried a white long stemmed Giant Mum. Peter Belliveau, brother of the bride, was Ring Bearer. Ryan's best man was his brother, Allan LeBlanc, with Joan's brothers, Richard and Mark Belliveau and Ryan's brothers, John, David and Robert LeBlanc acting as ushers. For a reception dinner held at the Moose Hall, Mrs. Belliveau received wearing a floor length deep turquoise Polyester knit sleeveless dress, with matching jacket, and a corsage of pink Carnations. Mrs. LeBlanc also re-, ceived, wearing a green wool knit floor length gown with matching jacket and a cor- sage of yellow Carnations. Mrs. D. Almos was the Dining Room Hostess. The Guest Book was in charge of Jackie Turner. The wedding cake was set in a fxoth of tulle, flanked by tall white tapers, arranged by Mrs. C. LeBlanc. Bruce Lundberg gave the toast to the Bride, to which the groom responded. Other guests joined the reception at 8 o'clock to enjoy an evening of dancing. For her travelling costume, Joan donned a black and white polkadot pant suit with short fitted jacket and palozzo pants. Joan and Ryan are residing in Schreiber.
