We have drawn up a list of recommendations, which is enclosed, for council to study, and it is our hope that you will act upon them. We sincerely fear that some child is going to be seriously injured some day at one of these crossings. We would be willing to meet with council .as a whole, to discuss these recommendations. RECOMMENDATIONS OF SAFETY PATROL COMMITTEE - approved Department of Transportation school crossing signs (present ones too small) - more cross-walks, suit- ably painted, and some present ones repainted. - improve intersections by Costa's. Winnipeg Street is much lower on the south side of Colum- bia Street right where cars have to stop for the stop sign, it should be brought up to grade. ~ possibility of hiring adult crossing-guards, minimum 2, for corner of Scotia Street and Subway Street, and for the corner of Columbia Street and Winnipeg Street.
