TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT A total of eighteen occurrences were in- vestigated by the Terrace Bay Police Depart- ment during the past week. Damage and theft was reported to the Ski Club during the week. Such damage included bullet holes in the roof of the ski hut. Four male juvenilles have been interviewed and charges may be laid. : Two charges were laid under. the Highway Traffic Act and Four cautions issued for minor infractions. Judge H. Cunningham presided over the last court sitting at Terrace Bay when he heard Brian Desaulniers plead quilty to a charge of illegal possession of liquor. Norbert Laderoute of Marathon was remanded until October I6th on a charge of impaired driving. SCHREIBER TOWN TOPICS Recent visitors with Mrs. Eleanor O'Connor were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Corbett with childr- en Murray, Scott and Shirley of Kenora; Mrs. Les Corbett of Thunder Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Syd (Curley) Daley, of London. Mrs. Roy Henderson of Thunder Bay visited Mr. and Mrs. Con Duggan last week. By happy chance, the painting, donated by Joan Niemi to the local Art Club, of which she is a member, for a recent draw prize, was won by her brother, Douglas Watson of Beardmore. \ The Art Club has resumed its weekly class- es, meeting on Mondays from I:30 to 4 in. the Public School. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McCuaig of Thunder Bay are at their camp at Walker Lake. Mr. and Mrs. G.J. Collinson of Chapleau, are visiting their son W.E. Collinson and fam -ily. Mr. and Mrs. H.A.J. (Bert) Chappellaz are being welcomed to Schreiber by the young set - Mr. Chappellaz coming from Yoykton to re- place George Wilson on the staff of the Bank of Montreal. Miss Edna McColeman has returned home to Marquette, Mich. after visiting Mr. and Mrs.' Archie McColeman and Mr. and Mrs. Fred McColeman. Susan McDonald has driven with frientls to Vancouver, to sight-see and consider the em- ployment opportunities in that area. Mrs. Gladys Hamilton entertained in her home in the evening on September I3th, in hon- our of her dinner guests, Mrs. Margaret Duckworth, president of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario and Mrs. Rose Deal, Assembly Mar- shal. Mrs. Glorie Miller, Noble Grand of Ruby Rebekah Lodge, welcomed the guests and her daughter Rhonda circulated the guest book. Among those attending were Mr. and Mrs. G.J. Collinson of Chapleau, Mr. Collinson a 59 year member of the I.0.0.F. and his wife, Eva a 66 year member of Sincerity Rebekah Lodge I57, and Mrs. Agnes Bryson, Charter member of Ruby Rebekah Lodge. R.P. NEEDHAM BURRIED IN SCHREIBER The funeral of the late Richard Patrick Needham, whose death occurred in hospital on August 28th, was conducted in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber on August 3Ist by Father F.J. Méyer, receiving and Father J. Delaney of White River, Mass. The honorary pall bearers were William Mul- lins, Dudley Cardiff, Frank Driscoll, Alex Power, Ambrose McGrath and William St. Louis. Active bearers were Randy Bolan, D'Arcy Fur- longer, Cosimo Figliomeni, Ryan LeBlanc, John McGrath and Morgan McGrath. Interment was in Schreiber Cemetery. Mr. Needham's immediate survivors are his wife, Anne, two sons - John P. of Sault Ste. Marie and William at home; two daughters, Nor- een (Mrs. Robert Johnston) of Thunder Bay; and Miss Anne Needham of Winnipeg; two sisters - Mrs. Carmel Ratty of Westmeath, Ont. and Rev. Sister Mary Needham, St. Joseph's Mother Hou- se , Pembroke, Ontario. Mr. Needham, who was 68 years old, was born in Cache Bay, Ont. and came to Schreiber in I943, where he was employed with C.P. Rail as fireman-engineer. He retired in I970. Among those from out of town attending the funeral were Sister Mary Needham, Pembroke; Kevin J. Retty, Ottawa; Michael W.
