RECREATION NEWS PLAYGROUND NEWS: The third week of Playground '73 was a busy one, with the weather co-operating for all but one of the special events. Thursday afternoon the 7-9 year old children went swimming at White Sand Lake and Friday afternoon the 5 and ¢ 6 year old children headed out to the same lake to swim. Special thanks to the parents who drove for both events and who risked their back seats by agreeing to transport home jars of tadopoles as well as kids. "Treasure Island" was the movie shown at six o'lcock Friday evening for 54 7-I2 year Mr. C. Wise for being the projectionist for the evening. Friday evening aftexq ALDON'S would like to thank MOBILE HOMES the movie, the leaders 16 Years of with the added super- vision of Linda Melnyk SELLING Danny Ferguson, Ernest Theriault and Howard Kettle, took the I0-I2 year old boys to Rain- bow Falls for an over- night camping trip, although very few hours were spent actu- ally sleeping. Ever- one, including the leaders, were bright- eyed and busy-tailed the next morning and ready for a day of swimming, hiking and cooking. Special thanks also to the par- ents who provided rid- es and tents for this event.
