PINEWOOD COURT MEETING The regular meeting of the Board Members was held on Thursday, June I4th at Pinewood Court with all Board Members present. The Board Mem- bers welcomed back Mr. F. Harness who just re- turned from a one months tour in Europe with his wife. The Administrator reported on a meeting held in Toronto with the architect engineers and dir ector, Mr. Crawford in regards to the Birchwood Terrace project. Present guidelines laid down for everyone to follow were outlined and prior- ity is to be given to the replacing of the heat ace as of June I, I973. Mrs. Wendy Kirkpatrick was appointed Sup- ervisor of Services as of June II, I973. |, The Board endorsed Senior Citizens' Week June I7-23. District residents are asked to visit Pinewood Court and Birchwood Terrace during this week. An open house will be held on Friday afternoon June 22, with a wine and cheese party at Pinewood Court. This is spon- sored by the Residents Council, Pinewood Court and they will be interested in seeing relativ- es and friends from the district attend. A number of staff members and two Board Members were authorized to attend the Home for the Aged Convention in Toronto on Septem--- ber I6-I9, 1973. Unemployment Insurance Cheques for the Thun -der Bay district will shortly be issued from the payment centre at Winnipeg, Mr. G.R. Hast~ ings, Unemployment Insurance Commission Distri -ct Manager, stated today. Accounts for March and April totalling $89,000 for Pinewood Court were passed as well as accounts for Terrace Bay for March and April totalling $3,000.
