His coach, Chuck Wilde, and his friends, were very proud of Lon Connelly coming third in the juvenile division in the I0 mile race sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion, Thund- er Bay. His time 56 minutes, 30 seconds. The shuffleboard tournament sponsored in the Schreiber Legion, Branch I09 was won by Barry Harper, in the A Event (left), and Dominic Carmesin far right in the B. Event. Mrs. Georgina Davis (center) was chairman of the event.
