MAY 24, 1973 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 Hospital Board Meeting - cont'd ...... V. Mazzone reported that a rain shelter will be installed at the Emergency Entrance in ord- er to protect patients from inclement weather when entering the hospital from the ambulance. Negotiations are in progress with the Radio- logist at Port Arthur General Hospital to have all X-Rays sent to that hospital for written interpretations. This is the practice of other hospitals in the district which are not large enough to employ a Radiologist and will be recommended to the Board as soon as budget- ary approval is received. Dr. Adey, Chief of Medical Staff, read the minutes of the quarterly meeting of the Medical staff held on May 8, I973. The hospital drug formulary is being reviewed and up-dated. Group purchasing of drugs with other district hospitals will help to reduce current costs. Beth MacAdam, President of the Auxiliary, announced that their next meeting will take place on May 28th. Under new business, Barry Stephen, Treasur- er of the Board, presented the quarterly bud- get report and answered questions from the other members. Approval was given to purchase three (3) wall cabinets and a vacuum cleaner.
