No. IO March 14, 1973 I5¢ Per Copy CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HONOURS NEW YEAR'S BABY Mr. ana Mrs. Kurt Hougesen were the recipients of many lovely gifts on Friday evening March 2nd when the Terrace Bay Chamber of Commerce honour- ed them as the parents of the Ist I973 baby. A small group of members gathered with Mr. and Mrs. Hougesen in the Community Church basement where a most enjoyable dinner was served by the Community Church Ladies Auxiliary. Mr. Ed Cavanaugh recited a humerous poem describing the actions of an ex- pectant father. Reeve Roy Bray congra- tulated the proud parents and Mr. Dan Rafalant introduced Mrs. Eva Connors who on behalf of the Chamber of Comm- erce presented Mr. and Mrs. Hougesen with an appropriately engraved silver cup. Mr. Hougesen thanked those who attended and all who had sent the many GREG CHEPELSKY MOST IMPROVED SCOUT OF THE YEAR The annual Boy Scout and Cub Father and Son banquet was held at the Comm- unity Church on February 23rd, catered by the Ladies of the Auxiliary, conven- ed by Mrs. Lil Harris. Head table guests included Father A. Greengrass, who said Grace; Rev. P. McKague, G. Puttock, Paul Malashewski, Chairman of Group Committee; D. Buckley Treasurer; Mrs. M. Vanderkam, Secretary R. Wills, Area Commissioner; Mrs. C. Cvitkovich, District Commissioner, Girl Guides and Reeve Roy Bray.
