MINOR HOCKEY NEWS Four goal performances by Michael Moher and George Hermes powered the Terrace Bay Minor Peewees to an 8-6 victory over a determined squad from Marathon. The victory, coupled with a 2-0 win in Marathon, enabled Terrace Bay to take the semi-final series 2 games to 0. In Marathon, stellar goaltending by Andy Kostiuk paved the way for the shut-out victory. Moher and Hermes scored power-play goals during the second period which proved to be the difference. In the game played here, Marathon jumped into an early 4-I lead but Terrace Bay exploded for 5 consecutive goals to pull ahead. After Marathon rallied to tie it, Terrace Bay added two more to seal the victory. The game was highlighted by the brilliant play of Michael Moher who, along with his four goals, also picked up four 3 assists. P. Orzek was Marathon's top scorer with four goals. Both teams played good, clean hock- © ey and Marathon, particularly, should be commended for making the trip to Terrace Bay as hazardous highway con- ditions prevailed. Terrace Bay now meets Manitouwadge for the championship of the North Shore Minor Hockey League. For dates and times of these games please refer to the Arena Schedule.
