The Ministry of Transportation and Commun- ications advised that an estimated cost of improving the juncture of Walker Lake Road and Drummond Street would be $27,000 and the pro- posal was filed. The Reeve reported contacting the Depart- ment of Health in Toronto for assistance in securing a replacement for Dr. Wykes and was told Dr. Copeman will come to Schreiber to assess the situation. Council has sent a letter to McCausland Hospital Board requesting equal privileges for a Schreiber doctor. The members were in cemetery board. The property committee were asked to look into the matter of parking facilities for town employees at the town hall, and the sale of the old scale house. Water works accounts of $667.66 and general accounts of $1,636.51 were passed for payment. Council noted with appreciation the recent gift of a stethoscope and blood pressure clamp to the Schreiber ambulance by the local Kinsmen, who donated the town's first ambulance favour of forming a Born to Mr. and Mrs. Kevin O'Brien of Schreiber, a girl on February 20, 1973.
