He will be making his SUPERIOR VOICE REPORT CARDS: The Lake Superior High School students will be receiving their report cards on Friday, March 2nd. The report card is to be retained by the student. Parent teacher interviews will be held at the Terrace Bay Campus on Tuesday, March 6th and at the Schreiber Campus on Wednesday, March 7th from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. NOTICE HELP WANTED C.P.R. EMPLOYEES SCHREIBER CREDIT UNION LIMITED Applications will be accepted up to March: 10, 1973 for trainee for Treasurer-Manager position for above named Credit Union. Knowledge of ledgers, financial statements and general bookkeeping would be an advantage to successful applicant. Salary to be negotiated. SEARCH AND RESCUE UNIT A general meeting of the Schreiber-Terrace Bay Search and Rescue Unit was held on Wednes- day, February 2Ist in Schreiber and Thursday February 22nd in Terrace Bay. Purpose of the meeting was to inform the general public of the aims and objectives of the unit. The training programs are planned for mem- bers of the unit. These will include a funda- mental course in first aid by the St. John's Ambulance and a basic map and compass reading course by local volunteer instructors. Application forms for these courses will be received by the area commanders Dave Desrosiers in Terrace Bay and Jack Rummery in Schreiber or Membership Chairman, Lou Duquette, Terrace Bay and William Kushnieryk, Schreiber. WOMEN'S INSTITUTE MEETING Members of answered roll the Schreiber Women's Institute call at their February meeting by presenting cards to be used by the social secretary,old remedies used during their child- hood for various illnesses and naming a source of vitamin C. ~ Befcre the business was conducted Mrs. C. Todesco, the president, surprised Mrs. J.D. Bryson with a Valentine corsage, in tribute to her being the pianist since I927, when the local organization was formed. Minutes of the January meeting and the tre- asurer's reported were adopted as read by Mrs. Wesley Clemens. Mrs. Todesco made an appeal for donations and assistance generally to the McCausland Hospital, reminding them the hospital auxiliary is having a bazaar in May to which they may contribute. A letter from the town council assured mem- bers the history of the town, in brief, form- erly on a plaque beside the hall, was now on a plaque in the cenotaph park. It was agreed to use the Kinette calendar to advertise meetings. Several letters were read giving informa- tion on the W.I. conference being held in Guelph May I-3. Mrs. Helen Jartus gave an interesting account of the formation and history of St. John Ambulance, bringing it up to date on the local level. Mrs. Mike Cosgrove, Mrs. Katie Verdone, and Mrs. Ray Cook were welcomed as guests. Following the meeting Mr. and Mrs. Dominic continued page I5
