Mm. in the high school auditorium will app- ear seven of the most talented and pro- fessional musicians Thunder Bay has to offer: Don Jewitt, John Dolce, Rod Brown, Damond Dowbac, Bill Oryniak, Greg Reed and Maureen McKechran. Five of these seven are former Summersounds '72 musicians and have toured with shows all over Ontario. They have experienced the worst and best stages - from tin curling rinks to the theatre of the National Arts Centre, they have been | rained out during outdoor concerts, have gone through the panic of numerous pow- er failures and have spent exhausting hours rehearsing and recording. But they all agree that the worst thing that can happen in their business is to have to play under the pressure of a | ES poor audience. So let's have some com- munity support on this venture and they} may agree to return in the future. The concert is open to the public be- cause there is music for adults and : students alike. This is not an electric rock show. The choice of music played will be decided upon by the performers | themselves who will judge by the type and size of audience and their reaction to the first few numbers. If the aud- ience appears to consist of mostly students then you can bet on some Cat Stevens, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Seals and Crofts and Bruce Cockburn. For those of you who get off on country the there may be some banjo pickin', foot stompin tunes Like "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" or "It Takes a Worried Man" The show will be mostly folk, blues and a lot of original songs by the musicians themselves. This is more a sophisticated jam session than a formal concert so re- member - it all dpends on You! And for a buck who can complain?
