Since one of Terrace Bay's constables is attending Police College at that time, and the other two are covering his shift the Police Chief will be un- able to attend. The Ministry of Natural Resources advised that surface rights of several mining companies have reverted to the Crown, and may be removed from the Ass- essment Rolls. The Ontario Municipal Electrical Association advised that pending dis- cussion with the Province of Ontario, the mailing of inserts relative to the Task Force Hydro have been held up. The Lake Superior Board of Education acknowledged the appointment of Mrs. P. Helmink on the Liason Committee with Council. The Ministry of Natural Resources advised Council to contact personnel for information pertinent to their over all Land use plan. Mayotte Construction advised that they were unable to participate in any building project in Terrace Bay at this time due to other commitments. Terrace Bay Campus, requested that a new electric stove be purchased under the Home Economics program, through the Terrace Bay Hydro and Ontario Hydro Rural Customers plan. This request was turned over to the Lake Superior Board and Council decided that at this time no further Home Economic appliances will be considered. The Property plan of re-subdivision of Birch Cresent was approved. Accounts passed for payment were as follows: Township $29,612.16; Hydro $15,334.75; Library $I,263.83, Recrea- tion Committee $10,442.50. Under new business, Don Stewart was authorized to attend the annual O.M.E.A. E.M.A.U. convention in Toronto on March 4-7th. A new expense account procedure was passed for employees, committee repre- sentatives, Reeve and Council. These were: Transportation-A-Car-I5¢ per mile, with minimal transportation to be shar- ed; B-Economy Air Fare; C-Train fare and berth, where applicable.
