Mrs. Morris is to be notified of the decision by letter. It was resolved that no representative be sent to Ontario Trustees' Council Conference in January, 1973. The Board will support the Atikokan Board in their request to the Ontario School Trust- ees' Council for a pick-up conference for new trustees in Northwestern Ontario. A request from Mrs. C. Forbes, Hillsport, who drives a school bus involved in an accident, for assistance was considered. The Board cannot provide financial assistance, but is concerned regarding the condition of the road over which the bus travels. A letter is to be written to the local M.P.P. in this regard. "Auditor's Preliminary Report" will be dealt with at the January Board Meeting which is to be held Saturday, January 13, 1973 at 10:00 a.m. in the Manitouwadge High School. Knight are happy to announce the arrival of their granddaughter, Kyla Alynn Rotmark, born in the Geraldton Hospital on December 22, 1972. THE AUXILIARY TO THE McCAUSLAND HOSPITAL The December 18 meeting opened with the * minutes of the last meeting being read, foll- owed by the treasurers report showing a fav- ourable increase. Correspondence included a card and note from the ladies in Nipigon who enjoyed a visit from a few of our members at their hospital earlier this month; a letter stating that we are now a registered vendor and donations from A. Sinkins, C. W. L., Schreiber and Doreen Wilkes. Cards of thanks are to be sent. The membership committee is planning a door to door Blitz early in January. The money raising committee thanked Doris Legault for making up the tickets for the Christmas raffle. It was decided to buy a humidifier for the nursery. Future fund raising projects planned are collection of old rags, bakeless bake sale, penny auction and a bazaar. The tuck shop reported that they received a donation from the United Church women, of the donated items left over from their recent bazaar. It was decided that holiday hours for the Tuck Shop would be - Closed December 23 to January 2 inclusive. Volunteer service reported that it needs more volunteers. If you can help, call Donna Gorham at 825-3676. Also, volunteer service reported that they bought an artificial tree for the hospital. Thanks was given to Donna for decorating the hospital and tree. The nominating committee received a "yes" from the present executive to continue service for 1973. Elections will be held at the January meeting. The program committee plans to get a guest speaker for the January meeting to describe the grant structure for the hospital. Beth MacAdam gave a report on the visit to Nigigon to see how the auxiliary is run there. Full reports are requested for the Annual Meeting. The draw for the $25 was made by Beth MacAdam. The winner is Winnie Campbell of Schreiber. Marys Flower Shop donated a Christmas Centrepiece which was raffled off. The winner of the draw made December 21 was Mary Dash- kewytch.
