Knitting, aprons, novelties, as well as baked goods were all on display. The head table was tastefully decorated as befitted the occasion. Pouring for the first hour was Mesdames C. Marcella and P. Coupal, and for the second, D. Gunter and H. Milks. Winner of the beautiful cake donated by Mrs. Ann Latour was Leigh-Anne McBride. The door prize was won by Mrs, Chadwell and the novelty lamp by Mrs. E. Ruzyski. REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICES Remembrance Day Services were observed in Terrace Bay on November 11th, at 11 a.m. under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223. A parade, led by Parade Marshal Alphonse Theriault, formed at the Recreation Centre and marched to the Cenotaph, accompanied by martial music played by the Terrace Bay Band. The Band, under the direction of Bert Lohr, added a great deal to the service. Father Greengrass gave the Invocation. Bert Lohr played the Last Post, as the flags were slowly lowered, and the fallen of two world wars were remembered in two minutes silence. Many wreaths were laid by business establishments and organizations of the town. In the evening, a dinner, catered by members of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Legion was held in the Masonic Hall. Mr. E. Forgues was the guest spe- aker. President Dave Gunter was Master of Cere- monies. A highlight of the evening was the handing over of a cheque for $1,000 from the Ladies Auxiliary to the Legion for the Building Fund.
