Terrace Bay fans who cheered on last year's local ANNOUNCEMENT Sun Life of Canada are pleased to announce that Mr. K. "Ken" Weppler has been appointed as a representative in the Terrace Bay and Schreiber areas. Having spent 26 years in the community and having completed extensive training in the Life Insurance field, Mr. Weppler is well quali- fied to advise and assist with personal and bus- midget team to the North Shore Championship will be pleased to know that the team is back bigger and better as a Junior "B" team. ' Because of the age limitation for midgets, 70% of last year's Big Red Machine were no longer eligible to play organized hockey. The players now have entered into the Junior "B" loop with Marathon and the Manitouwadge Copper Kings filling the gap left by the Schreiber North Stars, The Terrace Bay Superiors, as the team will be known, is composed of nearly all last year's midget players with a few new additions. We are fortunate to have aquired the services of players such as Dave Sitko, Clarence Yates, Curt Desrosiers and several others. We can also look forward to more great performaces from some of the old stand-bys such as Rick Hamilton, Mark Dash- kewytch, Bevin Schritt, Ron and Ed Zwaresh and Dale Randa. Defensively, Mike Kurylo and Paul Malashewski will again be helping to hold the lines. In new Richard Petrus will be filling the void left by Jim Priestly who is currently playing in Thunder Bay. Richard is doing a fine job and promises to be a valuable asset. No doubt for the first few games the new Super- iors will be gently feeling their way into this new league of a faster calibre hockey. However, if the past performances of this team is any concrete indication of what they are capable, Terrace Bay fans will again see many victories on their ice. The home-game schedule begins on Thursday, November 23 at 8:00 p.m. against Marathon. It is to be hoped that the town will demonstrate its support by coming out to cheer on the Superiors. No home team ever does as well as when it knows it is winning for its town. Let's give this new team all the boost we can.
