Moira Brown and Betty Ann McKenna, who served the lunch, were given the pleasure of present- ing a painting of Terrace Bay Beach to Mrs. Bennitz. Mr. and Mrs. R. Arkison and their two sons have come from Nakina to a new home in Schreiber. Mr. Arkison is the new manager of Hudson's Bay Store. Mr. and Mrs. D .H. Brown had a busy day on Thurs- day, putting Mrs. Brown's mother, Mrs. E. Carmi- chael on the plane to return to Vancouver, and wel- coming Mr. Brown's mother coming in on the plane from Vancouver. Miss Doris McParland of Calgary is home visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McParland. Mr. and Mrs. Norman McCuaig visited Mr. and Mrs. Dave McKay in Sioux Lookout last week. Much amusement occurred last week when a $50.00 hamper of groceries donated by Costa Groceteria was won in a raffle by Mrs. Penny Caccamo, who's hus- band is one of the firm of Schreiber Groceteria -- Costa's friendly rivals! Mrs. Frank Tuomi also won a $50.00 hamper, and there were several other winners of smaller hampers. OFFICERS INSTALLED AT RUBY REBEKAH LODGE A buffet supper preceded the regular meeting of Ruby Rebekah Lodge #279 on October 9th. Special guests were members of Topaz Rebekah Lodge #316, Thunder Bay, and the installing officers with director Mrs. June Claydon, D.D .P. with incoming and re- tiring officers of Ruby Lodge. Mrs. Gladys Hamilton, NG, and Mrs. Glorie Mil- ler, VG, presided for the meeting with Mrs. Helen Wallace, PDDP introducing Mrs. Claydon. Mrs. Dora Weaver PDDP, escorted and introduced Mrs. Winnie Clemens, chaplain of the Rebekah Assembly. Mrs. Miller gave the sick and visiting report with many cards sent and members in Pinewood Court re- membered. Mrs. Hamilton reported the C.P, and T. committee held a Penny Auction on October 20 and all members had been asked to donate. The committee now has $1500. worth of hospital equipment for use and some is constantly being used. Mrs. Florence Fischer reported on recent successful money-making projects. Mrs. H. Wallace and Mrs. A. Sparkes pre- sented the semi annual report of the financial secre- tary and treasurer. Topaz Lodge officers were installed at the same time as the Ruby Lodge slate - the first time a joint installation has been held in the Lodge in Schreiber. Mrs. Loretto Sinclair was installed as Noble Grand of Topaz Lodge. Mrs. Claydon spoke briefly and thanked members for the corsage and gift she received and Mrs. F.
