This depends largely on how all maintenance items progress. Next week's NEWS will clarify the opening dates in the Arena and Curling Rink as well. Programme Brochures Delivered This Week Programme brochures outlining most of the pro- grammes offered during the winter will be delivered door-to-door this week. The brochures will give you contact names for the various programmes available as well as information on the Recreation Association membership system. If you have not received your copy, simply call the Recreation Office for one. - Winter Employment Available The Recreation Office will accept names of any- one interested in gaining employment as public skating attendants for this season up to Friday, Oct. 20th. Anyone 14 years of age and over may apply by leaving their name and telephone number at the rec- reation Office. Duties of the public skating attend- ants will be to (1) check for Recreation discs; (2) supervise people who are public skating; (3) operate the P.A. system; (4) scrape and flood ice after sessions. October 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ministry of Natural Resources Office, Terrace Bay, Ontario The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss a pro- posed Master Plan for Neys Provincial Park and a new land use policy for the north shore area of Lake Superior in the Geraldton District.
