Prior to working out the details for such a programme, the interest must be determined. Therefore, any adult wishing to take part in a Men's Fitness programme should leave their name and telephone number at the Recreation Office. Anyone who is interested in taking this programme will have up until Friday, October 20th, to register. If sufficient interest is shown by that date, an organi- zational meeting will take place to work out the details for such a programme. Register by October 20th by leaving your name and tel ephone number at the Recreation Office. REGISTER FOR RINGETTE AND GIRLS' HOCKEY Special registration forms will be circulated throughout the schools during the early part of next week. The registration forms will have all of the necessary information pertaining to the operation of the league. The Recreation Department is hopeful that if sufficient interest is shown, league and exhibition games will be arranged in both Ringette and Girls' Hockey for this coming year. ADULT-STUDENT VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED In order to operate a Ringette and Girls' Hockey programme , a number of volunteers will be required to assist in the refereeing and coaching. If you are interested in assisting the girls this winter, please give the Recreation Office a call. WINTER EMPLOYMENT AVAILABLE The Recreation Office is presently accepting names of anyone interested in gaining employment as r public skating attendants for this season. Anyone 14 years of age and over may apply for these positions by leaving their name and telephone number at the Recreation Office. Duties of the public skating attendants will be to: (1) check for Recreation discs (2) supervise people who are public skating (3) operate the P.A . system (4) scrape and flood the ice after sessions. TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT During the week October Ist = 7th, the Terrace Bay Police Department investigated a total of twenty- five occurrences. Three Criminal Code offences were investigated which included two minor thefts and one break, , enter and theft at a local residence. Eleven motor vehicles were safety checked and seven warnings issued. Three transients were checked. An increase of 0.2% per year of atmospheric carbon dioxide has been observed over the past decade in Canada. SCHREIBER, ONTARIO Notice of Meeting The semi-annual meeting of the Terrace Bay Ladies Curling Club will be held in the Curling Club Lounge on Thursday, October 19th at 8 p.m. We ask all members to attend, and we also invite any ladies who are interesting in joining our Curl- ing Club this year.
