A well attended meeting was held by the Schreiber Liberal committee in the home of H.J. McParland, the president, fo organize for the coming election. Keith Penner MP, will be in Schreiber on October 10 and the committee planned a question and answer meeting in the Town Hall. Schreiber citizens are reminded to check the enumerators' polling list in the Postoffice and if their names have been ommitted to contact the enu- merators by October 11th, - enumerators being Mrs. Helen Wallace, Mrs. Betty Huard, Mrs. Hazel Bailey and Mrs. Jackie Tremblay. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pellow of Fergus, Ont. visited Mr. and Mrs. Dick Needham this week. Mr. Pellow formerly of Chapleau enjoyed meeting with retired engineers he had known in White River-the common meeting ground for both Chapleau and Schreiber enginemen. John Needham of Hay River, Northwest Terri- tories, is now home visiting his parents. Reeve F.V. Harness was called to Ottawa by the sudden death of his stepbrother, Vic Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Drake and baby, Billy Joe, of Cache Creek, Alberta, are visiting their parents = Mr. and Mrs. Gary Drake in Schreiber and Mr. and | Mrs. Joe Desaulniers in Terrace Bay. Bill Lidkea of Thunder Bay is the guest of Mr. and | Mrs. Earl Welbourne, visiting also Mr. and Mrs. Barry Harper. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Alec Gordon are Jack Johnson of Edinborough, Scotland and Mrs. ATTENTION Any Moose members interested in mixed bowling on Monday nights contact: - 825-3597; 825-3532 or 824-2516 before Friday. Bowling starts October 16th. Mima Pomer of Winnipeg. Roy Mills is away this week on a Vintage Tour, sponsored by the L.C .B.O. for manager of liquor stores, when they visit in Toronto, Niagara Falls, St. Catherines and other points in southern Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Armit of Atikokan spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mills. FORTHCOMING EVENTS OUTLINED AT AUXILI ARY MEETING At the regular October meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Mrs. Georgina Davis welcomed new members, Mrs. Daryl Lynn Davis, Mrs. Brenda Harper, Mrs. Lillian Ray and Mrs. Geraldine McColeman. An invitation was received from the Children's Aid Society requesting representatives to be sent to their meeting being held in the high school on Octo- ber 25th. Mrs. Gabrielle Martin agreed to decorate the hall for the Hallowe'en party. Letters for menus were sent to the three church groups fo cater for the November 11th banquet.
