The matron of honor and bridesmaids wore large pink picture hats while the flower girl wore pink flowers in her hair and all carried bouquets of dainty chrysanthemums and pink carnations. The groom was attended by Gerry Fairbrother, Trenton, while ushering the guest to their pews were Bernie Goodman and Donald Downey, both of Trenton A reception was held at the AMDU Social Centre where the guests were received by the parents of the bride and groom. The bride's mother wore a lime green coat dress with white accessories and a yellow orchid corsage. She was assisted by the mother of the groom who wore a long A-line blue gown with beaded bodice, matching accessories and a corsage of white chrysanthemums. Following a wedding trip to Montreal, Mr. and Mrs Lemay took up residence at RR 3, Belleville. Out of town guests were present from Toronto, Montreal, London, Windsor, Chatham, St. Thomas, Terrace Bay, Kingston, CFB Borden and England. TERRACE BAY GUIDES ATTEND DIVISION CAMP During the month of August, eleven Guides and one Leader from Terrace Bay went to Division Camp at Three Fingers Lake, Marathon. The first week, Glenna Clearwater of Nipigon, tested for camper licences along with Sharon Graham (Life Guard), Mrs. Angus, Blue Guider, Manitou- wadge and Penny Carman, Marathon, Camp Nurse. The second week, Commandant, Mrs. Olive Ross, the Division Camp Advisor; and Leaders Mrs. Janet furner, Brown Owl, Manitouwadge, Mrs. Joanne Taniws, Brown Owl, Marathon and Mrs. Pam Jones, Blue Guider, Terrace Bay were in charge and assisted by two Junior Leaders from Marathon, Carl- Lee Fleck and Diane Beavregard. The Guides had numerous camping skills to learn and during the two camps Mrs. Ross checked and marked points for all activities and group tenting, the tent who won the Best Tent Patrol the 1st week was Karen Cvitkovich, Patrol Leader and her patrol of Melody Fisher and Cheryl Moore. The 2nd week was Terri Paukstys, Patrol Leader, "with Didne Jones in the same patrol. Congratulations to these girls. Guides and Leaders had a good time, especially when some night visitors from Marathon came into camp fire and sang along with the girls, which gave them an opportunity to meet other girl guides from all over the North Shore. Each of the leaders took along their younger child- ren and found that all their worries on whether the little ones would be upset or a trouble underfoot were soon dispelled for the Girl Guides just took over to entertain and babysit the young ones and the leaders were able to participate in all areas of activities. continued page 6
