Mrs. Lemieux, still a tiny, vivacious person, with a fascinating French-English speech, has always been an ardent fan of the Leafs' hockey team, and many delightful stories of her loyalty are treasurered by her family and long time friends. Once, when the Leafs suffered a crushing defeat, her telephone rang = and, she would not answer because she knew it was her son Gerard, in Vancouver, calling fo twit her. And, when the Leafs changed their goalie taking a member of an old foe=Mrs: Lemieux couldn't bear the awful sight of him in the Leafs' goal-but- neither would she miss the game, so she solved the problem neatly, by covering up the screen of her talevision = but left the sound on.
