Union President, Peter Romanuk gave John a gift of tools, on behalf of the Union, to aid in the build- ing of their new home in Renfrew. Betty Cruickshank, on behalf of all of Isabel and John's friends in Terrace Bay and the district, made a presentation of patio furniture - a red wood table, four chairs and lawn umbrella to match. Mr. Ferrier in his response thanked everyone who had donated to the gifts or helped in any way to make their retirement party such a success. He said he had enjoyed working in Terrace Bay, and the people with whom he was associated. Telegrams were read by Curly from the Ferrier daughters, Cathy and Betsy, Joe Wig, Keith Penner, and Cy Haycraft. Lunch was donated by various ladies of St. Martin of Tours and the Community Church. Music was supplied gratis by George Churney, Bill and Stan Megraw. The moose Lodge donated use of the hall and the Women of the Moose Looked after lunch. PROXY SHOWER HONOURS BRIDE-ELECT A proxy bridal shower for Joyce Warzecha, Don Kennedy's fiancee, was held at the home of Marge Lundberg, with Cora Ropchan as co-hostess. Gertrude Soughton also assisted the hostesses. The guests brought unwrapped gifts and wrapped them after being viewed. Mrs. Vera Kennedy accepted the gifts and thanked the guests on behalf of Joyce. Lunch was served by the hostesses. Joyce and Don will be married on August 22nd, in London, Ontario. NOTICE The CP Express pick-up operated by A.
