ANNUAL FIGURE SKATING MEETING & BANQUET CANCER SOCIETY BAKE SALE SUCCESSFUL The Annual meeting and banquet of the Terrace Bay The Terrace Bay Unit of the Canadian Cancer Figure Skating Club will be held May 31st, in the Society held a successful bake sale amounting to Community Church basement. The banquet will be- over $70.00 , thanks to the efforts of the many gin at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting at approximately ladies who donated baking and of course to those 7:45 p.m. who bought the goodies. All parents of skaters are requested to attend. The winning ticket for the Amethyst Bracelet was drawn at the conclusion of the bake sale and was held by Mrs. Denford of Thunder Bay. Over $70. was realized from the sale of tickets on the bracelet; all of which was profit because the bracelet STRETCH & SEW was provided through the generosity of Mrs. Dorothy Rofalant. IS COMING TO SCHREIBER This means that a contribution of over $150. can be made toward the furnishings for Amethyst House.
