Correspondence included a letter from Reeve Cavanaugh, requesting assistance and co- operation of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, for the July Ist celebrations. In his request, Reeve Cavanaugh pointed out the huge success of the celebrations in 1971, due mainly to the major role played by the Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary. A letter from the Municipal Association of Police Governing Authorities included an invoice for 1972 membership. This was passed. The 1972 Hydro capital budget was submitted to Ontario Hydro Electric Commission for its approval .
