MAY 17, 1972 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 13 RECREATION NEWS Tom Higgins Folk Concert - Thursday, May 18th: A reminder that the Tom Higgins Folk Concert is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18th, at the Terrace Bay Campus Auditorium. Admission for the concert is as follows: Adults = $1.25; Students -$1.00 Children = .75¢. Minor Ball Programme Postponed Until September : The Minor Ball programme for both boys and girls which normally operates in May and June will have to be postponed until later on in the year. This decision had to be made due to the fact that the St. Martin's field will not be available because of expansion to the school and the Athletic Field ballfield will not be prepared and ready to go until August. When everyone returns fo school in September, a very short league will be operated. Summer Activities for '72: The Recreation Office is pleased to announce that the following activities will be available for this coming summer. Once the Athletic Field is completed and ready for use, a number of new programmes will be attempted. The activities for this summer are as follows: Swimming (complete programme of Red Cross and» Royal Life, competitive, recreational, family swim) Tennis (two outdoor courts, one indoor court) Playground (this programme operated for children 5 years of age up to and including teens) Roller Skating = Summersounds '72 = Art Trek - training clinics for soccer, girls field hockey, track and field, lacrosse. In addition to the above activities, the Recreation Office will also present any other programmes, clinics or workshops as the need arises. Remember .... if you have any programmes that you would like to try, call the Recreation Office and we will be more than happy to assist you in getting a programme started. Roller Skating This Sunday, May 21st: The first roller skating session of the season is scheduled for this Sunday, May 21st, starfing at 6:30 p.m. at the Terrace Bay arena.
