Sessions will be held from 7:30 to approximately 9:30 p.m. and each regis- trant myustmake payment to the Recreation Office be- fore this course starts. Men's Basketball - The deadline for registering in this programme is today, April 27th. Art Workshop - As advertised in last week's News, the Recreation Office is accepting names of those intere- sted in taking a worshop in oils, water colors and acrylics. Deadline for this course is Thursday, May 4th. The Recreation Office is interested in knowing how many people would want to take this workshop; therefore, if you are interested please leave your name and phone number at the Recreation Office. RECREATION CENTRE CLOSES AT 6:00 P.M, THIS SUNDAY The Recreation Centre will be closed to the public this coming Sunday, April 30th at 6:00 p.m. sharp. The Centre will be closing earlier than usual to acco- modate some Maintenance work which has to be done on the floors. TOM HIGGINS FOLK CONCERT - MAY 18TH The Ontario Council for the Arts, Lake Superior Board of Education and the Terrace Bay Recreation Committee will be sponsoring a week-long visitation from Tom Higgins, who is currently working out of Toronto as a folk artist singer and composer. Some of you may remember Tom when he made a visit to our community last summer for our Playground program, From May 15th through to the 19th, Tom will be (con'd on page 7) (continued from page 5. ..Curling Club News) and Jeannine Desrosiers. The Tuesday night, "A" Division and the Laskin! s Trophy was won by Connie Cvitkovich, Elizabeth McLeod, Shirley Caron and Janice Brown. Runners- up were the rink of Peggy Wellings, Steffie Dorman, Jackie Calder and Molly Mcmillan. The Tuesday night, "B" Division and the Molson's Trophy was won by Norma Crockford, Vera Kennedy, Rhea Beaulieu and Beverley Phillips. There was a 3- way tie for runner-up position withthe teams of Kay Thorsteinson, Elain Zwir and Stella Gusul playing off. The winner being Stella Gusul, Dene Clancy, Isabel Marsh and Judy Mercer. The Thursday night curling and Seagram's Trophy was won by Ollie Chapman, Shirley Richards, Jean- nette Gunter and Jeannine Desrosiers. Runners-up | were Anne Latour, Marj Liebrock and Inga Schmied- chen. Trophies to the winning rinks will be presented at the annual banquet and dance which will be held on Saturday, April 29th. Prizes to the winning rinks were presented at the Ladies annual meeting which was held on Tuesday, April 25th. LEGION BOWLING The Bombardiers set two new records Friday night, bowling a high single game of 1186 scratch and 1265 with handicap. They also took 7 points to give them a 9 1/2 point lead over the second place Cameron Highlanders.
