APRIL 27, 1972 TERRACE BAY NEWS Il PAGE 13 SUPERIOR SOUND THOUGHT OF THE WEEK :"To be good is noble, but to teach others: how to be good is nobler - and less trouble ." = Mark Twain STUDENTS COUNCIL NEWS The Lake Superior High School Super Council will be holding a dance at the Terrace Bay Campus on Friday, April 28, from 9:00 until 12:30. The band "Love Cycle" from Thunder Bay will be playing, and admission is $1.75 per person. Students must have either their students' cards or a special invitation card to get into the dance. The union of the two old schools into the one new school, with the name Lake Superior High School, has a crest of its own and its own identifiable colors also-purple and white. The Students' Council has dev- ised a new Constitution for the student body, which will go into effect in the next school year. One of the sections in the Constitution states that there will be only one Students' Council between the two camp- uses, with a President elected from one campus, and a Vice-President elected from the other campus. This way, it is hoped that the schools will be brought together even closer. : For the coming Students' Council elections, four students will be elected, two from each campus, and they will decide amongst themselves what positions they will hold on the Council executive. Then, in the fall, class representatives will be elected and the new Students' Council will be completed, with advi- sory and financial advisors appointed from the teaching staff. ROSSPORT Mrs. Jos. Brassard was a Lakehead visitor during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hubelit, Alfred, Ray and Brian Ray were Nipigon vistiors during the week. Rev. The opening prayers were offzred for the deceased memb- ers. The minutes and financial report were approved as read and existing accounts passed for payment. Improvements at the church were discussed and the president is to obtain advice on same. Articles for the penny auction were handed in. A bingo was arranged for the end of the month, April 30th, in the Commyn- ity Hall. The candle supply is to be replenished and the members found that spending money on mass missels that can only be used one year was too much for our small group to carry on. Enquiries are to be made as to when a regular prayer book would be published again. The general housecleaning of the church was left for a later date when the weather will be warmer. Following adjournement and closing prayers the hostess served lunch and a social hour enjoyed. Mrs. Hubelit invited the members to meet at her home for the annual meeting and all members are urged to be present « amme to help you get that cottage at that special ancing.
