Mr. and Mrs. Bob Roffey have returned home from Arnprior after attending the funeral of the latter latter's father, the late Duncan Mcintyre, who passed away March 16th, in Memorial Hospital, Arnprior, in his 93rd, year. ROSSPORT CRIBBAGE TOURNAMENT Acribbage tournament was run off in Rossport Rec reation Center, Sunday from two p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with Romeo Bouchard and Floyd Harnden in charge. Twenty Two teams took part in the four events play. The first event was won by mr. and mrs. Bill Hubelit who won two large turkeys. The second event was taken by Mrs. Todesco and Alfred Ray winning two large turkeys. The third event went to Walter Gerow and Gwen winning two large chickens, and fourth event was taken by Ben Lespenskie and Norm Crazelle also winning chickens. All the losers were given balloons and the lowest score obtained by Betty and Roy Huard won Easter Novelties. Buffett luncheon was served at 5:00 when a recess was had before the final playoffs. Everyone had a most enjoyable time and the villagers are looking forward to another social event that the committee plans. Mr. and Mrs. Armand Huard of White River spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Romeo Bouchard. Rev. Father Hyrchenuk S.J. of Beardmore visited the Pays Plat Mission on the weekend. Mrs. Dave Mushquash is a patient in MacCausland Hospital, Terrace Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schelling were Lakehead visit- ors, during the week. 5 Mrs. Violet Goodchild is home from MacCausland Hospital, Terrace Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Jaék Campbell and Danny of Fort William spent the weekend with her brother Walter Gerow and family. Tommy Nickleson of Hurkett is visiting his brother John Nickleson. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. C. Todesco during the week were Manlio Todesco of Manitouwadge, Rach- ele Todesco of Toronto and Camillo Todesco of Nipigon.
