PENINSULA RACEWAY NEWS The stock car season has tentatively been set to open in the second week of June. This is a little over two months away, so you'd better start preparations on your cars.For the first time Peninsula Ruceway will pay thé driver of any car who tows more than 40 miles to the track, 10 cents a mile one way, provid- ing he does not place in the prize money that day. This guarantees the out-of-town drivers, money each and every raceday. Raceday will again be on Sunday evening, with rain-out races being run on Monday evening. Another of the rule changes is that all persons in the pit area must wear white pants and white shirts or white overalls. This is a change from previous years where white pants only could be worn.
