The Guest Skater at this point was Miss Valerie Hutcheon, of P.A.F.S.C., Thunder Bay. The next item was a hunting scene, with Hunters, Trees, and Bears. The hunters were Sharon Bougie, Linda Dejonghe, Nora Mikus, Jenny Dorman, Cathy Weberg, Jackie Turner, Debbie Opas, Lori Schritt, Leslie Josus , Carolyn Vanderkam . The Trees and Bears were Roselyn Vanderkam, Louise Desrosiers, Brenda Cornfield, Denise Vienneau, Jody McKie, Delena Almos, Judy Moher . Game Wardens were Cheryl Dejonghe, and Norma Phillips. ; At Intermission, a draw was held for a hamper of groceries, won by Mrs. H. Hamilton. The next scene was set by a miniature train, and the railroad workers were again some of the younger set = Pam Calder, Cathy Osmar, Judy Moher, Laura Caccamo, Janice Pytyck, Irene Bergeron, Carol Osmar, Diane Caron, Maureen Pytyck, Carol Web~- erg. The Engineer, Sharon Bougie, did a charining solo spot. The Armed Forces, portrayed by Jackie Turner, Debbie Opas, Linda Dejonghe, Julie Randa, Jenny Dorman, Cathy Weberg, Carolyn Vanderkam, Norma Phillips and Leslie Josus, skated to Martial music. Another guest, 'Miss Carol Chichka, of the F'.W.F .S.C. presented a beautiful solo. Debbie Opas was a lovely skater as she presented "Women's Liberation Movement". The Loafers, found skaters lying on the ice, one by one being awakened and skating in creditable fashion. These were: Diane Caron , Brenda Cornfield The last item was Shoe Shine, with younger skat- ers as the Shiners, and the older set as Business Men. The Shiners were Cheryl Dejonghe, Norma "Phil - lips, Carolyn Vanderkam, Jenny Dorman, Lori Schritt, Julie Randa, Kelly Anne Chesley. The Business Men were Linda Dejonghe, Jackie Turner, Nora Mikus, Cathy Weberg, Peggy Klug, Sharon Bougie, Leslie Josus. : The finale found everyone out on the ice, where gifts were presented to the two guest artists, and the club Professional, Mr. Jones. C.W.L. NEWS The March general meeting of the C .W.L. was held on March 12th, in the Parish Hall. The meet- ing openes with League Prayers. The scripture read- ing was read by Mrs. R. Gerlach. A welcome was extended to all by the President, Mrs. G. Dash- kewytch. The secretary, Mrs. P. Malachewski, read the minutes of the February general meeting and all 'correspondence. The treasurer, Mrs. A. Regis, gave the financial report. The standing committee con- venors than tabled their reports. The World Day of Prayer which was held on March 5th, was very well attended. The offerings were $36.12. This offering was turned over to the World Day of Prayer Committee. The nominations committee was appointed bythe President. They are: Mrs. P. Gordon, Mrs. R. Mit- chell, Mrs. W. McKie. The nomination forms are out. Would you please complete them and either mail them to Mrs. Gordon or put them in the coll- ection plate marked "Nominations". The plans for the Giant Auction Sale are well underway. It will be held on Saturday, April 8th. If you have any items for this auction sale, please contact Eva Connors. The guest speaker for the evening was Mr. Bill Houston, guidance counsellor, for the Lake Superior School Board, Terrace Bay Campus. Mr. Houston spoke on counselling of the youth and the credit system. A question and answer period followed. A social hour was held. Mrs. Jean Sinotte convened the social hour. ! CURLING NEWS The Terrace Bay Ladies Curling Club held their Kelly Anne Chesley, Delena Almos, Denise Vienneau} Annual Bonspie!, March 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
