BROWNIE NEWS Many parents attended an enrollment ceremony held March éth, by the First Terrace Bay Brownie Pack. Thej Brownies chanted a welcome and acted the story of the ~ Brownies as it was narrated by Brown Owl Saranpa. Maureen Pytyck was the hard-working mother, while the six tweenies were the thoughtless children. Laura Caccamo was the Wise Owl who showed the children how to become a Brownie. Susan Polachuk,Corinne Cotton, Joyce Kurylo, Barbara Churney, Paulette Theriault, and Donna Lapenskie made their promise at the toadstool and received their Brownie pin. Janice Liebrock placed magic dust before each Brownie who recently earned the Golden Bar Badge. These Brownies stood on Golden Ground at the toad- stool while the pack gave the "Grand Howl". Janice then placed magic dust on the hands of Siobhan Anderson, Katheryn Lang and Maureen Pytyck and each was presented withthe Golden Hand badge. Tawny Owl McCormick presented each Brownie with a Brownie notebook and Katheryn, Maureen and Siobhan with the Brownie World Pin. Under the supervision of Rangers, Theresa Falzetta and Georgina Caron, several Brownies made and - served tea and toast to the guests while Tawny Owl and the pack sang songs.
