Meyer's address on "Youth in our Ch- anging World" was much enjoyed by the local Cath- olic Women's League members and their guests, mem- bers of St. Martin of Tours in Terrace Bay at the mee-| ting on Feb. 13. A collection of one per cent of money spent on luxury items by members, to be forwarded to the Dev- elopment of Peace Fund, will be taken up at the March meeting. A practice for the service, will be held on February 24, at 7:30. The theme this year is Joy. Following the service a visiting hour with lunch served, will be enjoyed in the parish centre. Bishop Gallagher, of Thunder Bay, will conduct a confirmation service on Sunday, February 27, at 4p.m. An informal discussion found the members deeply concerned over the lack of leadership for the organ- ization, the dearth of younger volunteers to fill the necessary offices. The work is generously supported, but, in order to carry on, officers must be found. Other organizations, it appeared, are facing the same pro- blem with no solution as yet found. The Schreiber Club will host the Kinsmen Zone 4 annual bonspiel, "March 17,18 & 19. Some fifty are expected to attend from Thunder Bay, Geraldton, Nip-Rock, and executive officers from Winnipeg. A social evening will be enjoyed on Saturday and the business will be held on Sunday. Mrs. Lillian Parent became the first past president of the Ladies" Auxiliary to the U.T.U. - this assoc= iation formerly the Lady Trainmen. Mrs. Georgina Davis presented Mrs. Parent with her' pin at the February meeting. Following the meeting a penny auction was played and lunch was served by Mrs. Nettie Thrower and Mrs. Margaret Randel.
