Everyone is invited to attend, a question and answer period will follow the presentation. Mr. Angus Robertson, President of Ontario Assoc., for the Mentally Retarded will also be in attendance. CANCER SOCIETY PLANNING PROJECTS A meeting of the Terrace Bay branch of the Cana- dian Cancer Society was held at the home of Mrs. M; Hale on Thursday, Jan. 20th. Mrs. Dorothy Rafalant presided. She was pleased to announce that Mrs. Elsie Berndtsson will be the 1972 president. She expressed regret in resigning di to business matters but will continue to assist the society whenever possible. Mrs. Lil Harris ggve a brief report on the meeting attended in Thunder Bay including a request for oo tance in the "Ameythst House Furnishing Fund". has been publicized in the media, this lodge serve patients from the outlying district needing tfrec ment. Patients will be housed in the Ameythst Lodg instead of boarding out. The cost of furnishing one room is $3500.00. The Amethyst Lodge is the respo sibility of the North-West District, and it is hoped will be completed March 24, 1972. A discussion followed with ideas being tossed abo as to a money raising project that would not interfel with the Campaign Fund which starts in April.
