Mr. Macleod elaborat=- ed on the dangers with respect to small children being allowed by parents to operate these machines. Reeve Cavanaugh thanked Mr. Macleod for his inter- est and assured him that Council would take his warnings into serious consideration. The Department of Transportation and Communica=- tions gave approval by By-law 242, restricting the use of snow machines between the hours of 12 mid- night and 7 a.m., and this by-law will be rigidly enforced. The Ontario Council, Order of St. John's, asked Council for financial support. Council agreed that the locality is always well served by the Schreiber branch of the St. John's Ambulance Corps and af this time a grant of $25.00 was made, with a further grant to be discussed at a later date.
