PAGE 14 TERRACE BAY NEWS NOVEMBER 18, 1971 SCHREIBER BROWNIES HOLD COSTUME PARADE Clusters of excited Brownies flew about the room peered at each other's masks, and whirled around their leaders as the two Schreiber packs got ready for their costume parade before Mrs. Norma McGuire Mrs. Shirley Major and Mrs. Inez McCuaig, the judges. The Halloween theme of course was seen in most of the costumes but there were others as well. Three prizes were awarded to each pack, in var- ious categories with the result as follows: = First Pack = Lorna Jean Guina, Santa Elf, Diane Dietrich, pumpkin; Brenda Lameureux, hobo; Second Pack - Maureen McGrath, Hippie; Rosalind Zaporzan - baby, Barbara Huard = hobo. McCuaig REBEKAHS INSTALLED Top officials of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario were in Schreiber for the installation ceremonies of the newly-elected officers of Ruby Rebekah Lodge Honoured guests included Mrs. Betty Robinson, president of the Rebekah Assembly, welcomed by Mrs. Beth Macadam, Noble Grand and introduced by Mrs. Norma Fummerton, P.N.G. and Mrs. Iris Miller, D .D.P., instroduced by Mrs. Helen Wallace, P.D.D.P.; Norman Case, District Deputy Grand Patriarch of Dist. #25, introduced by Mrs. Bernice Whent, P.N.G.; Mrs. Case, Mrs. Bella French of Smith Falls; Mrs. Cora Rouse of Dorchester the degree team and many others from Thunder Bay. The visitors entered the lodge room under an arch of pink glads held by the guard of honour - Mesdames Jessie Macadam, Jessie McCanna, Dora Weaver Shirley Brown, lleen Williamson, Edith Ibey, Alice Farrow and Florence Fischer. Mrs. Connie Martin sang "May You Always Walk In Sunshine", accompanied by Mrs. Agnes Bryson. Mrs. Iris Miller's installation team included the following: Mrs. H. Humby, Dep. Marshal; Mrs. V. Buttars, Dep. Chaplain; Mrs. F. Britt, Dept. Warden; Mrs. lvy Whitfield , Dept. Rec. Secretary; Mrs. G. Nelson, Dep. Financial Secretary; Mrs. K. Goodwin, Dept. Treasurer; Mrs. J. Douglas - Dep. Inside Guardian; Mrs. B. Whitfield = Dep. Outside Guard- ian. Mrs. H. Johnston was pianist and Mrs. Alf Cava, sang two solos. The team wore identical pink floor length gowns. The Ruby Rebekah officers installed included: Mrs. Gladys Hamilton, noble grand; Mrs. Glorie Miller, vice grand; Mrs. Winnie Clemens, P.N.G., recording secretary; Mrs. Helen Wallace, P.D .D.P. financial secretary; Mrs. Alice Sparkes, P.N.G., treasurer; Mrs. Beth Macadam junior past noble grand: Mrs. Della Moore, chaplain; Mrs. Florence Fischer Conductor; Mrs. Bernice Whent, P.N.G., R.S.N.G. Mrs. Lil Harris, L.S.N.G.; Mrs. Dora Weaver, P.D.D.J., R.S5.V.GC.; "Mrs. Shirley't.5.V.C.; Mrs. Christine Morris, P.N .G., Inner Guard, Mrs. Lilyan Christie, Outer guard; Mrs. Connie Martin, color bearer; Mrs. Jessie McCanna and Mrs. lleene Williamson, scene supports. In her address Mrs. Robinson thanked the lodge for its hospitality and urged the members to continue their support of the various' projects of the Order. She was presented with a corsage and gift. Mrs. Miller also expressed the appreciation of her team for the warm welcome they received, and she too received a corsage. Mr. Case and several other officers spoke briefly. Mrs. Hamilton, new noble grand, congratulated Mrs. Macadam, on the excellence with which she had discharged her duties during the past year, and presented her with the Noble grand pin.
