Prior to the wedding a Turkey Supper was served by the Grooms mother for relatives and friends of the bride and groom, Later in the evening a reception was held at the Chalet Husky for the happy couple. During the course of the evening the Grooms Grandmother phoned from Carbury, Manitoba wishing them congratulations on their marriage. Karen Goodmurphy sister of the groom was in charge of the guest book. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs, E, Fetter, Kitchener Ont.; Mr. and Mrs, Jerome Fetter, Jo-Anne and Jimmy Fetter, and Jackie of Missinabie, Ont.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Turner end Mrs. Cal Seabrooks, Nipigon; Mr, Earl Goodmurphy, Marathon; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baker of Heron Bay. Also friends from Terrace Bay and Schreiber. Following a short honeymoon the couple will reside in Terrace Bay. Photo below - Mr. and Mrs. Goodmurphy and attendants. NOTICE OF MEETING The Terrace Bay Community Credit Union's 23rd Aunnual Meeting will be held November 19, 1971. EXTENION OF MINERAL EXPLORATION PROGRAM The Cobalt and Gowaganda Mining Areas made eligible for Mineral Exploration assistance earlier this week have been defined and included 127 townships, announces Ontario Mines and Northern Affairs Minister Leo Bernier. The inclusion of these Townships in the Ontario Government's incentive program will benefit the mining communities of Cobalt, Elk Lake, Gowganda Matachewan, Shining Tree and Tem- agami, explained Mr. Bernier. Comapnies and individuals with properties in these areas will now be entitled to a one-third reimbursement of the costs. Of ground exploration programs, in the same wayas has already been established for the Red Lake, Kirkland Lake and Geraldton-Beardmore areas. Written applications for assistance must be approved in advance by the minister. Applications should contain an adequate description of the pro- perty, its mineral possibilities, and an itemized statement of the proposed exploration work and its estimated cost. Government participation is limited to a maximum of 33,333.33 dollars for each applica- tion.
