After various gammitess submitted their reports, plans were made fo hold a Halloween Dance and Box Social at the end of October. Convener for the White Elephant Sale, Jim St. Louis and Mrs. Pat Jones reported on a successful project, and some twenty-two boxes of clothes were sent to the Salvation Army in Thunder Bay. Fm are well under way for the November 11th Armistice Day Tea, Bazaar and Bake Sale. Mrs. Gerry Dupas was presented with a baby cup by Mrs. Harry Gusul. Mrs. Wilf Mallais and Mrs. Rene LeClair volun- teered to serve on the nominating committee with elections being a few short weeks away. More names are seen on the poster for the bus trip to Marathon on October 23rd. Bowling also is starting shortly this month, so if you want to get in the swing of winter activities, get your name on the bowling list. cont'd next column Awards Nite will be held on October 8th. SPONSOR FRIENDSHIP LUNCHEON The Afternoon Group of the Ladies Auxiliary Community Church again sponsored a Friendship Luncheon. Special guests were retired people © Township, Father Greengrass of St. Martin of 1 and Mrs. McKague's Mother and Father, Mr. a Hendry, of Tiverton, Ontario. President, Mrs. June Schritt presented each of special guests with a Carnation corsage, on thei arrival. A gourmet luncheon, prepared by the members of the Auxiliary was enjoyed by all. Father Greengrass said Grace. Helen Brooks showed two films. Mr. Frank Ginn on behalf of guests, thanked all the ladies of the Auxiliary fe their kind invitation.
