JULY REPORT The following inci dents are still under investiga=- tion: - ; Damage to bulldozer the property of Kimberly- Clark; Lands and Forests reported a theft of a five gallon can of gas from boat house and lock on boat tampered with; Service Station broken into during night and theft of $585.00 reported. The following incidents were investigated during the month: = One traffic ticket issued for obstruction at a stop sign. Investigated window in door of high school broken, this window on inside door and entrance must have been gained with use of key. A tire and wheel were stolen from fruck at river mouth, this later found and returned to owner. : Found gas pumps unlocked and active owner notified. Investigated complain of snack-bar at arena had been forced open, nothing taken as there is nothing kept there. Complain was received of table taken from beach and cover of well broken. Several salesmen have been rounded up and ordered out of town as they did not have a licence to sell. One person arrested and charged with shoplifting sentenced to seven days in Jail. Sec. 280 C .C. Party found with fire lit in bush and a quantity of beer, this on Kimberly-Clark property and proper authority notified. Investigation re = American tourist having his car broken into at Gorge and $80.00 stolen, also seven credit cards. Investigation was conducted of a thelft of $500.00 worth of tools taken from a Dominion Bridge truck while parked overnight at Const. site at Kimberly-Clark mill. Day and night patrol was kept on beach property for three days and nights while girl guides visited this town. Special thanks should go at this time to Mrs. Pat Jones and Mrs. P. Coupal for their efforts in making the girl guides stay in Terrace Bay a memorable one. Investigation was held into two complaints of cars having been entered during the night at Terrace Bay Motor Hotei parking lot. An incident of a girl hit by motorcycle on Superior Avenue was investigat- ed. No charge was laid as the girl was riding a ] bicycle which went out of control. A business place was found open during the night and owner contacted and locked same. A case of a girl bitten by dog was investigated. Dog later destroyed and checked for Rabies. A call was re- ceived from Hotel bar to eject one person. A bush fire in front of the Texaco was checked. Investigation of a mental case at local business place was found that this man was just lost. Two windows broken at the public school by a stone and boys making noise in front of house at late hour were investigated. Investigations were also conducted into the damage to flower beds in Centenial Park and theft of Binoculars from car at Terrace Bay Motor Hotel parking lot. McMILLAN=HARRIS VOWS EXCHANGED Red Gladiolas adorned the Altar of the Terrace Bay Community Church for the July 23rd wedding of Molly Isobel Harris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Harris, Terrace Bay and Mr. Robert Fredrick McMillan son of Mr. and Mrs. William Fredrick McMillan, Terrace Bay . Rev. Peter McKague officiated at the 7:00 p.m. Double Ring ceremony. Mrs. E. Hodgkiss organist was accompanied by soloist Mr. B. Lohr. The bride given in marriage by her father wore a formal length gown of white fortrel suede, over- layed with raschel lace. A train creating back interest was overlayed with a long whit ribbon effect. Long sleeves of lace and rounded neckline. A shoulder length scalloped veil was fastened to white roses and forget-met-not array. The bride's gown was designed by her mother and she wore a silver watch, a gift of the groom and silver locket. She carried a cascade of red roses with rose buds on white streamers. Mrs. Diane Gerow attended as Matron of Honour with Miss Wendy McMillan (sister of the groom) and Miss Meredith Coe as bridesmaids cont'd page 12 ..
