HARNESS TOWN TOPICS Mr. and Mrs. David McKay of Sioux Lookout are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Norman McCuaig and Mr. and Mrs. Wilf McLaughlin. Four local Sea Cadets are in Esquimalt taking summer training = David Lamoureux, Danny Glad, Billy Souliere, and Bob Bryson. Mr. and Mrs. Russell (Coke) Campbell and family of Clarkson, are visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Bolan are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on July 24th, starting with a dinner in the United Church, followed by an open reception, also there. Mr. and Mrs. L. Wrightsell, of Thunder Bay have returned home after visiting the Bolan's. Mrs. Ethel Smitheman has received the following results in tests taken by her students with the Western Conservatory of Music: Theory - Grade 2- Theodore J. Ross = first class honors; Piano = Grade 8 - June Sisson = honors; M. Sharon Scott - pass. Grade 6-7-Mary P. McGrath - pass; Grade 6-Theodore J. Ross = honors; Grade 5-Méry J. Ryan = honors; Stuart C. Gordon - pass; Grade 4 - Kimberly L. Karns = pass; Grade 3 = Karen L. Lamoureux and Mary A. Kulmatycki = equal first class honors; Tina L. Ellicott and Jade E. Dukes - equal honors. Mr. and Mrs. Doub Bennitz of Toronto visited old friends here last week while attending the Davis-Weaver wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bourk and family of Ottawa are holidaying at Sand Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gellert, visiting Allan Bourk also. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Cataford and family of Winnipeg are visiting Mr. and Ms. Gino Caccamo and Mr . and Mrs. George Cataford. Tony Deleo and his family are here from Toronto visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Deleo, Manitoba Street. A round of family parties is being enjoyed by the family of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard O'Brien, attended by Mr. and Mrs. D'Arcy McDonald (Sharon Carol) and their family of Markstay, Ont.; Mrs. Brian (Lenore) Duncan and family, of Wawa; Mr. and Mrs. Sten Lif (Sharon) and family, of Cochenour; Paddy, Russell and Mary Lynn O'Brien, still at home, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lemieux (Cathy)and family of Schreiber. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Cosgrove are in Sudbury to attend the funeral of Mrs. Hugh McMullen - well known in Schreiber. Among the several happy family reunions in Schreiber this season are Mr. and Mrs. John Spillane who have their daughter Ginger (Mrs. Rod O'Driscoll and family) of Laydsmith, B.C .; their daughter Nancy, of London; their son Douglas with his wife and family of Stratford; their son Michael, at home and to round out the party, Mrs. Spillane's sister Mrs. R.H. Sheady and her husband of Thunder Bay. This is just the second time the Spillane family have all been together in years = Douglas and 'Ginger' having been away from home before Michael was born. ROSSPORT TOWN TOPICS Edward Roddy Sales Promotion Manager of Herman Walker Incorporated of Detroit was holidaying here the past week on a fishing trip. Guests of the Mac Hubelits during the week were Miss Debbie Gerow of Thunder Bay, Lionel Hubelit and J. Miller of Wawa and Mr. and Mrs. Chas Ger- ow and baby of Thunder Bay. Mrs. W. Schelling has returned from McCausland Hospital, Terrace Bay. Mr. and Mrs. John Testori and family of Owen Sound visited Mr. and Mrs. Peter Testori . Mr. and Mrs. C. Foreman and family have taken up residence here.
