Weaver will hold an Open Reception in the Schreiber Town Hall on July 10th from 8 = 12 p.m. in honour of their daughter, Daryl Lyn whose marriage to Mr. Jody Davis takes place that day. > TOWN TOPICS Maureen Campbell, recently of Schreiber, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell (Coke) Campbell, has been voted "Top Girl Athlete" of Clarkson Ontario Secondary School. Maureen's ambition is to become a physical education instructor. Gerald Death, of Western Ontario Conservatory of Music was in Schreiber on June 21st fo conduct examinations for piano students of Mrs. Ethel Smitheman. Visiting with the Rev. Rex Dye and Mrs. Dye for the past two weeks were Mrs. Judy Elich, with Danny, Lynette and Michelle of Northville, Mich. Mrs. Ruth Klink, of Plymouth, Mich., and Mrs. Birdie Beeker of Adrian, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Afflick and family of Thunder Bay visited Mrs. Saima Willoughby last week. Mrs. Ray Sisson was the hostess when a group of friends gathered to say "Bon Voyage" to Mrs. Helmuth Frommann and present small gifts for the journey. Mrs. Frommann is going to visit her mother in Germany, taking her son and daughter, Wolfgang and Monica with her. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Sheehan of Atikokan visited Edgar's mother, Mrs. Eleanor O'Connor this week. 'Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnson of Sarnia visited Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Johnson. Mrs. Bud Parks of Chapleau spent the week with Mrs. Lawrence Tremblay, her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith and family have returned home after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Jim R. Smith. LIBRARY SETS SUMMER HOURS The board of trustees of the Public Library held its regular meeting on June 25th with Mrs. Norah McGuire presiding. Minutes and correspondence were read by Miss Gwen Hadley. A thank you note was sent to the Catholic Women's™ League for books donated when their parish library closed. continued page 21.......
